Hi, my name is Margot Brews and I empower people to tap into their individual talents and capabilities so they are resourceful, resilient and can navigate change for a fulfilling career and life. I started my working career in trauma intensive care and psychiatric units after which I spent 15 years designing and implementing health risk management, medical fund governance and business management programs for healthcare companies.

For the past 5 years I’ve been working with individuals and companies on changing human behaviour for better outcomes.

I’ve specialised in neuro-semantic coaching and client-centered hypnotherapy and I’ve been told that my nurturing but powerful coaching style challenges and supports clients to become the best they can be.

I believe that by each one of us committing to our own growth and becoming our fullest potential, we raise our consciousness and collectively transform our lives, our businesses and ultimately our world.

My coaching style is to challenge you to focus on what you really want and help you identify and break through whatever holds you back from realising your dreams. As a result, you get to banish limiting belief patterns, accept and master your emotions, and discover new resources and behaviours.

A typical coaching session is 90-minutes long and depending on your needs can be scheduled weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A typical executive coaching engagement comprises 6 to 10 sessions although my individual clients often sign up for 2 to 4 sessions. One of the benefits of hypnotherapy is that it allows you to remember an event that led to the first reaction, separate the memory from the learned behaviour, and replace unhealthy reactions with new, healthier ones.

Given that hypnotherapy can be utilised to access a person’s inner code and that few people are performing to their full potential, then virtually everyone would benefit from hypnotherapy.

Hypnotherapy is particularly helpful in dealing with stress, anxiety, panic, phobias, unwanted habits and addictions, disrupted sleep patterns, lack of confidence and low self-esteem, fear of examinations and public speaking, migraine and irritable bowel syndrome. Additionally, it has proved of great value in sport and artistic performance enhancement.

My hypnotherapy style blends the science of hypnosis with the techniques of neuro-semantics to help you banish limiting belief patterns, accept and master your emotions, and discover new resources and behaviours.

During hypnosis, your body relaxes and your thoughts become more focused. Like other relaxation techniques, hypnosis lowers blood pressure and heart rate, and changes certain types of brain wave activity. In this relaxed state, you will feel at ease physically yet fully awake mentally.

People are sometimes concerned that they will ‘lose control’ in hypnosis. However, regardless of how deeply people may go in hypnosis and however passive they may appear to be, they actually remain in full control of the situation.

Coaching is about self-actualising. It’s about awakening, challenging, and activating one’s best dreams. And to do that I will have a fierce conversation with you that quickly gets to the heart of things to challenge your thinking and behaving. We’ll explore how you’ve created meaning and how this influences your actions and reactions. Most importantly, we’ll discuss what you really want and how you can leverage your potential to achieve your dreams.

Coaching clients are change embracers. They are people who think about change; plan for it, and long for it. They are not satisfied with the status quo, and in fact, often embrace the ambiguity of the unknown for the joy of the adventure itself. Are you ready for this kind of adventure?
What can I expect in a hypnotherapy session?
Hypnosis is a relaxed state of body and mind in which your conscious awareness is defocused and you can tap into your sub-conscious thoughts and memories. Client-centered hypnotherapy enlists the power of the client’s own imagination for beneficial change.

Before inducing a relaxing trance state, we’ll chat about the presenting problem and what you want. Then while sitting comfortably I’ll ask you to relax deeply and when your mind and body are completely relaxed we’ll talk about what you need to do to actualise your goal. Once you’ve uncovered strategies for change, you’ll come back to normal awareness feeling thoroughly relaxed and resourceful.

It’s an unleashing experience that can be extraordinarily effective and in my opinion - worthwhile.
What is neuro-semantics?
Neuro-Semantics is a model about how we create and embody meaning. And we know that the way we create and embody meaning determines our sense of life and reality, our skills and competencies, and the quality of our experiences.

Neuro-Semantics has its roots in cognitive behavioural psychology and is part of the positive psychology movement. It is within the field of Neuro-Semantics that we find the Meta-States™ and Matrix Models. These models allow us to identify the frames of mind that govern our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Using these models and their revolutionary patterns we can make changes to our frames of mind and achieve extraordinary results in both our state of being and outcomes.
